Authors must ensure that all cited sources are included in the reference list and that bibliographic information is accurate.

DOIs should be provided where available. Authors should avoid excessive self-citation, citation manipulation, and unverifiable references.

Research involving human participants or personal data must comply with applicable ethical requirements.

Where applicable, authors should provide information concerning ethical approval, informed consent, confidentiality, and data protection.

10. Declarations

Authors should provide the following statements where applicable:

11. Artificial Intelligence

Authors may use AI and generative AI tools for appropriate purposes such as language editing, coding, or research assistance.

Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and content of their manuscript. AI tools cannot be listed as authors.

Substantive use of generative AI should be disclosed appropriately. AI must not be used to fabricate data, references, citations, or research findings.

12. Copyright and Open Access

IJHSD is a fully open-access journal. Published articles are freely available online under the journal's stated Creative Commons license.

Authors should ensure that they have the necessary rights and permissions for third-party material included in their manuscript.

13. Publication Charges

IJHSD currently does not charge authors an Article Processing Charge (APC).

There are also no charges for manuscript submission, editorial screening, peer review, or online publication.

Editorial decisions are independent of an author's ability to pay.

14. Submission and Peer Review

Manuscripts should be submitted through the IJHSD online submission system.

All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment. Suitable manuscripts are normally evaluated through double-anonymous peer review by at least two independent reviewers.

The final publication decision is made by the responsible editor.

15. Revisions and Appeals

Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts in response to editorial and reviewer comments.

Authors may appeal an editorial decision by providing a clear explanation and supporting evidence. Appeals are considered by the Editor-in-Chief or an appropriate independent editor.

16. Author Responsibilities

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that:

  • the work is original;
  • the manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere;
  • all authors have approved the submission;
  • the research complies with applicable ethical requirements;
  • the information and data presented are accurate; and
  • relevant funding, conflicts of interest, and AI use have been disclosed.
